I suspect there are quite a few folks on the forum who have or have had cars they liked......or disliked. This is the thread to brag or otherwise about your cars.

My current car is a 1998 Caddy Catera. It is still built/sold in Europe as the Opel Omega, with a few differences.....mine has a 200 horse V6 and V-rated tires (good to 149 mph) for example, and all the normal Caddy comfort touches. It has been superseded in the U.S.

I have had in previous lifetimes.......

1973 Pinto (yes, I survived)
1972 Valiant (named Princess, 318 and 3-on-the-tree)
1964 Rambler Ambassador with a Chevy 327 (named Rose)
1978 Datsun B210
1970 Chevy Impala
1971 Plymouth Sport Fury
1976 Pacer (total POS)
1986 Isuzu Pup diesel (I moved to CA in that truck, named choo choo by my son)
1991 Saturn SL-1 (named Gray Ghost)
1996 Chevy S-10 (named Black Beauty)
1999 Buick Regal LS (named Beach Babe)
and now the Caddy

First car, 1976 (or thereabouts) Olds Omega, 2 door Nova-style body. Believably had over 300,000 miles on it after being owned by grandparents, parents, then myself. Affectionately called "The Leper" as it generally left little bits of itself wherever it went. The body would shake when you slammed the doors as the door pillars had rusted through. Had a 260 V-8 in it though and would be happy to go when I gave it the pedal..at least once I replaced the fuel line, and until the water pump blew out.

Second car, mid '80s Olds 4-door. Similar "run it into the ground" vehicle, but not as bad off.

Third car, late '80s Ford Escort.

Fourth, 1992 Saturn SC2. (used) Fun car for the two weeks that I owned it. Met an untimely end in the side of a Suburban. (We're all fine. Everyone's fine here. How are you?)

Fifth and current, 1996 Saturn SL2. Bought with 73k miles on it and after almost 5 years have it up to almost 100k. I'll probably stick with Saturn after this one too.

CARS are so "yesterday," so PRE-$3.00 a gallon! But in my lifetime I have owned a 4 door 400 Impala, a Chevy Chevette, SEVERAL Ford Rangers, a Toyota truck whose name I can't recall, and my current Ford F-150 extended cab. Though the only vehicle in my garage that I REGULARLY ride is my '05 Honda Shadow Aero. Hmmm.... Shadow gets 50mpg, F-150 gets 15mpg. There's a no-brainer!

Wow, is this an excercise to expand our memory capability?
