Dear all~

Our cuscomer ask us about "Is a criteria established for gage R&R/TCI (gage R&R<10%,TCI<25%)", but we don't understand what does TCI mean.

Hope for help.
Thanks a lot.

Well, you've stumped me on that one. I've never heard of it. Anybody else?

Haven't heard of it. A quick search on Google didn't turn up anything useful, but a few references in conjunction with Gage R&R were found.

I'm curious to know what this is as well.

So a TCI <25% would be equivalent to a Cp >4 for the test? Wouldn't that be dependent on the samples used, not the measuring system? Or is it using the variations in the reading for the same parts?

I found an ASQ paper 1997 from two Kodak guys that explains TCI.

"Designing In" Quality Improvement: A Systematic Approach to Designing for "Six Sigma" Turmel, Jeff; Gartz, Larry (1997, ASQ) Eastman Kodak Company, Rochester, NY
