Forgive the simple question. Does anyone know what the (E) stands for in the ISO 14971:2007(E) title? Also, what is the most appropriate way to reference the 14971:2007... with or without the (E)?
I am now convinced that it stands for "Electronic Copy." I also, downloaded the entire set of ISO9000:2000 (when it came out) and this is what is states:

The French version of ISO 9001:2008 is labeled as ISO 9001:2008 (F), so I'm pretty sure it's the language designation. Here's a link to a "preview version" (6-pages) of the French standard showing this: ISO 9001:2008 (F)
