What I have to do to implement ISO 9001:2008 till Registration and Certification?

My name is Rina, I just got a job in oil and gas consultant company.
I am incharge for ISO document 9001 2008, And I really don't understand yet about ISO.

Could you please help to advise me, What I have to do to start ISO 9001 2008 till register and get certificate ISO?

There is an entire sub-forum here on ISO 9001. Read through some of the existing discussions. Most of your questions to this point have been discussed. After you get a better understanding of what ISO 9001 is, we'll be happy to answer questions specific to your scenario.

One of the first things to do is to check what arrangements your new employer has made or intends to make, in order to provide you with some suitable training in beginning to understand ISO 9001. They are going to do this, aren't they?

One of the first thing you need to do is to get a handle on the subject. Even before going for training, get a copy of the standard - read and try to understand as much as possible. Otherwise, get a simple, reader friendly book to read. One that had often been recommended is: ISO 9001 in Plain English by Craig Cochran - NEW BOOK

Marc's file: QMS Implementation is a good reference as you read and try to understand the various clauses of the standard.

Ah, expectations....

Employer provided and/or paid for training is nice, but in these days of austerity in companies "what one has to do" to "get ahead" often relies on the employee. Elsmar is about, and has been from the beginning, a free resource for this type of free "training". "Self" education is important these days, especially when a company assigns someone responsibilities that are out of their field of expertise. I've gone through such expectations and I bet many folks here have as well, where I "self educated" through paying for courses I should take to be proficient (lacking experience) in meeting expectations. I always looked at courses I paid for myself as investments in my future.

I say this only in the sense that ISO 9001 and it's implementation certainly isn't rocket science, and many (most?) companies are not willing to spend for education. I bet over the years I've spent over US$15K on training courses. Of course, here everything is free. The internet is a very good source of information.

It seems that you have no knowledge and experience in ISO 9001 and related activities, so it seems that you shall acquire competence from scratch.
Is it foreseen a training or an on the job training in your organization for the tasks you are in charge?
You can find info and read book and so on , but if it is not an organized thing, the activity could be unfruitful.
However, I think that your organization should have a plan to reach ISO 9001 cert as well as have the sponsor of mgmt to put in place all resources to get the achievement and you role should be taken into consideration for education , training and formation.
As a suggestion , pls find the news and topics you are curious in this forum. This could be a first step to familiariza with ISO 9001 issues.

Yes, I am aware of all this and I agree with some of what you say.

But whichever way you look at it, it's the employer who has the prime responsibility to make sure an employee has the required competency for their role, which is where I was coming from.

I don't disagree. However... It's a reality vs. theory thing. Employers have many "responsibilities" that they do not live up to. My post addresses the reality aspect rather than the theoretical.
