First of all, do any nation adopt ISO 9000 as a national standard?

If a nation like Thailand adopt ISO 9000 as a national standard, what will happen to the management system in the country?

Britain and Europe have adopted ISO9001 as national/regional standards. The full designation in the UK is BS/EN/ISO9001. The former British Standard BS5750 was replaced by the above standard back in 1994 (I think) - although the BS standard was actually adopted as the EN and ISO standard.
