What if none of the customers want APQP and PPAP

  • For a company that's 16949 registered, one of the basic expectations is that the APQP process will be adopted for all automotive products, regardless of whether or not a specific (or any) customer requires it. It's considered a part of doing business in the automotive world.

The other point is if you are not required to do the APQP process, you should still want to do it. Otherwise, you may be missing its point.

True, but I can't imagine a company being TS registered and not having any customers that require AIAG APQP. If I'm a potential customer of a TS-certified company, I should be able to assume that the process has been adopted, and not have to ask if it will be applied to my automotive products.
