First time user

I am to be prepare all the document starting by level 2 (GM). What do they expect, saying level 2 ?
Is it maybe: Part Submission Warrant, Sample Submission Request Form, Appearance Approval Report, Sample Parts, Material/Performance Testing, Initial Process Study, Lac Accreditation AIAG Shiping Label) or ist there something more, that I need to prepare ?

PPAP - Level 2

On page 16 in the PPAP manual - 3rd version there is a complete list of what is required ( to be sent - or to be retained ) for each level in PPAP.

Best regards,

Antoine

Welcome to the Cove, Patricio :bigwave:

The list Antoine refers to spells out what needs to be submitted to the customer. Everything in the "level 3" column must still be addressed and "on file".

With either a "Level 2 or 4" submission I have always needed to talk to my SQE to ensure I submitted just what they expected. I have yet to see a P.O. include the detail of a submission (and very few even call out a submission is required - much less the "level")

Devil in the detail

One of the issues that gets missed is that, apart from level 4, you have to do everything.

The difference is what you have to send. I have had clients who think they have got off light because they only have to do a level 1 or 2.

I think that this is the most important point
The PPAP is in fact only documenting the actions that you should have done during the APQP process.

This is also very good advice, always work with the customer

and what about the GP11 or GP12. Is there any requirement to do this on "level 2"

:thanks:

Having a look on the Page 16 in the PPAP, level 2 requires almost everything !!!

levels in PPAP

Don't misunderstand, every applicable item IS required.
It is just a matter of having to sent it or keeping it (until requested?)

Good advice ( as Bill and Howard suggested ) is to contact your customer (and have this in writing to show to the auditor)

Antoine

To contact the customer is to so easy, as we are a plant in Poland and the whole contact process prepares our project manager in Germany (unfortnately) and we will have a audit and the first contact with the customer next week.
It is only because the whole thing seems to be very complicated and to get through that is a nightmare :(

It just looks complicated.
It is in fact just a matter of documenting your actions and using common sense.
Please do not panic just ask the customer what he actually wants, this also has the afvantage of getting him involved and on your side.
