Hello everyone, I have doubt regarding note inside PSW: Statistical process package.
Does that note mean SPC ??

Second question concerns PPAP level 5. What does it mean exactly ??
PPAP done by supplier plant but not sent to customer ??
To be checked on supplier plant only ??

Thanks in advance for Your feedback.

Yes,PPAP level 5 documents are not to be sent to the customer. Customer representatives approve it at suppliers location. But the all the documents are to be maintained by the supplier.

This generally applies to proprietary parts where the suppliers do not intend to share the PPAP documents.

"Statistical Process Package" applies to the statistical analysis for key characteristics.

The statement "...PPAP level 5 documents are not to be sent to the customer" is not accurate in most instances. A level 5 PPAP package is reviewed at the supplier's site, but is usually also submitted to or carried away by the customer. In the case of proprietary concerns, they seldom apply to the entire submission package, and usually involve the DFMEA (if the supplier is design responsible) PFMEA and/or control plan. There are few customers who would allow a supplier to exclusively retain all of the documentation.

PPAP AIAG Blue Book is only a guide for reference, not a mandatory standard.
The best thing for PPAP submission is to get agreement with the customer and/or supplier and establish the requirements for submission.:bigwave:

You are correct in terms of the PPAP manual submit/retain requirements, but having done many Level 5 PPAPs as a customer/reviewer, I have never left the supplier's building without the documentation in hand. It's pretty much standard practice.
