I run my family's factory that prints (gravure), laminates and slits flexible packaging. We have recently been requested to get our SOP's, PRP and GMP's in place. I am completely clueless  how to go about this and don't know what the difference is between these all!?!? Can somebody please explain the difference between the following and where they all fit into a business like mine, as well as if there are any other standards I need over and above these:

SOP's
PRP's
GMP's

Thank you in advance :thanx:

Barry.

Hi Harry. Thanks for the reply. Being a family business, we have always lacked in QMS', etc. We do not utilise HACCP or ISO, although we have identified that HACCP is a good ideas for our business.

We really are clueless in this regard ;)

Not at all, Barry. At this juncture, you may not know what to ask and we also do not know how to help you or what you don't know. If you can read through both HACCP and ISO 22000 at the link provided, I am sure you will have a much better picture and be able to field more relevant questions.

Need to start somewhere!
