While it was accurately reported that more countries than not supported the advancement of the document, the devil is always in the details. 325 pages of comments and many with the gauntlet thrown that some of those that voted to affirm will not let the document proceed to DIS until the 'mess is fixed'. It is not surprising that this is the situation. The draft is a fundamental shift in the EMS. Similar to the idea of creating a new dish with many chefs from many different lands, we all have different things we want to add to make it exceptional. However, ultimately those with simple tastes and a shallow pocket have to be able to afford the dish, or it will remain fit only for a King, or in some cases a Queen's plate. The job now is to make it exquisite and sophisticated in its simplicity; and yes, hold the salt.

Do you mean FDIS?
It seems that the votes to progress it from CD2 to DIS have already been cast and the decision is not reversible.

Just to update everyone, the ISO DIS 14001 was filed for registration at the 27th of June-14. In stage 40 (DIS), thus it's ready to be released according to the communicated and planned distribution from July-2014!

I think ISO alreasy have their hands full with ISO 9001. So I don't suspect to see anything till next year. Unless they have a team on it that I have not heard for ISO 14001 that is!
