I hear you, and I'm not arguing against the phrase "visual aid." I need to be able to qualify the phrase "visual aid" in order to coincide with what they see. For example, I need to be able to say "assembly visual aid", "machine setup visual aid", "packaging visual aid" and so on. What I can't get agreement on is what comes before the phrase "visual aid", since they cannot explain to me adequately (yet) when and where the aid is used.
