There is a term for that sort of carry-on: Fraud. Apart from being highly unethical it only serves to prolong the agony. Sooner or later we will be forced to deal with our internal problems, and I prefer sooner. Unfortunately, this is not in the least unusual. Sorry about the rant, but in a former job I had to deal with this kind of behaviour on a daily basis, so I feel rather strongly about it. Ok, the soap box is free now.
