A very general question. What type of product? A rubber duck for kids? A heart pacemaker?

Need more details.

Marc:
The TS16949 Customer specifics require the supplier indicate zero defects in their control and inspection plans. The TS specification and ISO 9001:2000 do not.

Yes, but the poster who started the thread didn't mention TS 16949 or any specific customer.

BTW - Can someone tell me what 'dpku' is? Defects Per ... ??

Marc,

I'm not sure either, but I was guessing dpku = defects per kilo-units or defects per thousand.

Tim

dpku=defect per thousand unit. :D

product=walkie-talkie :biglaugh:

iso9001:2000 :whip:

is zero defect achieveable? :nope:

How about Defective parts per thousand units? Big three use PPM. Zero defects applies to attribute sampling.

Why doesn't "zero defects" apply to variable sampling?
