What's meant by ISO9001 clause 8.7 non conforming output?

10.2 intends the organization to evaluate the need for actions that will prevent recurrence of nonconformities. 8.7 only requires an organization to deal with outputs that fail to conform with their requirements. If I ordered a rare filet mignon but was served to me well-done, I will definitely complain. If the fine dining ISO 9001-certified restaurant manager assured me that this mistake will never happen again because they will take actions to prevent its recurrence, I will tell the manager "I don't care if you will apply corrective action as per 10.2, I'm hungry, I only want you to deal with this nonconforming output as per 8.7 - replace it!"
