My wife and I went on a vacation last week. We found a huge discrepancy ($50 - $70 USD) between the advertised hotel rates and the actual price paid. They are starting to add more fees that do not show up in the advertised rates.

While I have not personally experienced this, I have seen articles that say restaurants are starting to add fees to the bill that are not shown on the menu in order to cover expenses without raising menu prices. Unfortunately, the patron is shocked to discover this after they have eaten and can no longer just walk out.

See it every week, everywhere I go, but there isn't any vacation involved (Vacation is at home except for a couple car shows or a weekend trip or 2)
