I know that some registrars will start performing audits to the DIS version of ISO9001:2000. HOWEVER, the findings given to this standard will not be binding. This is, more or less, a opportunity for the auditee to see where they stand with respect to the updated standard. I agree with Christian that if your registrar wants you to "officially" update your system to DIS version, then you need to ask them some hard questions! (What I mentioned above is more of a customer service approach.)
