Where does IATF 16949 address Process mapping?

Hi,

The word process mapping is not used but what you are looking for is in ISO 9001, 4.4.1 which requires you to
- determine the processes needed for the quality management system and their application throughout the organization
- determine the inputs required and the outputs expected from these processes
- determine the sequence and interaction of these processes

As stated, it does not specifically address process mapping. However, an actual process map is expected. We had this issue years ago and as I recall it was essentially buried in the rules 4th edition. They listed the "process map" as one of the pre-audit submission documents.

Haste Makes Waste
Please take a look at ISO9001 clause 0.3 Process Approach. They show a process schematic and a representation of the PDCA for ISO9001.
