Umang, Apparently you aren't familiar with the Toyota recalls in the United States. I think there probably was a time when a lot of us might agree with you, but since they attempted to go too big too fast, I am afraid they have lost a lot of their quality focus.

I am fully aware of the debacle, and yet I maintain that 'TOYOTA' tops the list for their approach to Quality. Any judgement, for or against should not be based on isolated incidents. Failure of 'Appolo 13' does not mean that NASA is lagging behind in their approach to quality. Many organisations have tried to copy 'Toyota Production System', but reached no where near Toyota. Some were taught 'TPS' directly by Toyota's team, yet they could not come up to the mark. If you examine the reason, you will find that the difference is that at TOYOTA, the entire team is fully committed in their approach to achieve uncompromised quality.

"Best embodies a Quality Approach"?

As compared to what?

What's the benchmark?

This is like saying my dog is uglier than your dog without having anything to compare them both to.

Based purely on personal opinion Randy - that's all.
