Who has had a Transition Audit from TS 16949 to IATF 16949

We had completed the transition audit to IATF16949 for one facility. There were about 6 minors. One of the minor is the internal audit effectiveness at the facility. But the justification for it to be minor was that the audits of the Remote Support Locations were very comprehensive.

The latest IATF Transition Strategy document, Revision 6, now allows for transfer of CB's under some circumstances:

The Transition Strategy states an organization cannot transfer and have a transition audit to IATF 16949 at the same time. Can a certified ISO/TS 16949 organization transfer to a new certification body and have the new certification body conduct an initial certification audit instead?

In light of capacity and workload constraints during the IATF 16949 transition period, the IATF has approved allowing organizations to transfer to a new IATF-recognized certification body through an approved waiver by the relevant Oversight Office of the new certification body under special circumstances.

Currently, the only special circumstance allowed is where the organization’s current IATF recognized certification body has communicated in writing to the organization that it cannot accommodate the IATF 16949:2016 transition audit.

In this special situation the following IATF Rules 5th Edition requirements do not apply and are therefore waived: 7.1.1 c), d) and e). All transition audit requirements described in this document shall be applied.

NOTE to the new IATF-recognized certification body: In this special situation the IATF database semi-automated transfer request process is not to be applied but a CB waiver is to be approved instead by the relevant IATF Oversight Office (incl. the objective evidence that the current certification body is unable to accommodate the IATF 16949 transition audit). The approved waiver shall be entered into the IATF database.

I need to know how many days it take to get a semi annual surveillance ISO 9001 and an IATF 16949 audit with the two of them having different scopes? Normally they are done together and it is 2.5 days but it appears to have changed.

You may need to contact your Registrar/Certification Body for this.
You are paying them for their service. Get their response in writing!

That is why I am asking; we have always done them together and after the transitional audits to ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16949:2016 I got my certificates and they had changed my scope on my certificate. I have been told that now I have to have an additional .5 days added for ISO 9001:2015 in order to cover my Technical side of things. Both the above certificates have the same scope now; when they use to have different scopes. Both automotive and the technical go through the exact same processes just different types of fabric. The audits themselves are no different than they use to be except for the updated parts in the standard.
