I believe that I read that Lloyd's was the registrar for the plant in Illinois.

Did Anyone else hear in the news that a QA representative (don't remember if Ford or Firestone??) testified that a warning report was issued/filed back in 1997?

I remember reading about the report that was issued a few years ago. You might still be able to find reference to it somewhere on the BBC World site - Link was: bbcworld.com /content/home/home.asp

I was in the English portion of the site. As I recall they had excerpts from it as well with their story.
