Why are 17025 scope angle measurements limited to 5 to 85 degrees?

I am not aware of any clause of ISO 17025 that gives such a specific limitation. Can you give more details in the test/calibration method you are dealing with and where this limitation is related to ISO 17025?

Not the 17025 requirements, but some of the accreditation bodies seem to like this range. This might be specific to measuring a flat 2D X-Y angle using a CMM.
