Thank you everyone for such informal responses. These tools are used for product verification but it is my belief that a square is either good or bad. There is nothing that can be done to "calibrate" a square. We have between 50 to 60 of them and the company that calibrates them charges $25 a pop. It just seems like a waste of money to me. I want to verify that they are good and if not, get rid of them which is what the calibration company is going to do if they find it to be out of tolerance. Unfortunatly I do not have any real tools to make sure they are good. I do have a small granite table and a 90 block but that is about it. Can I make this work to verify these tools?
