Even though I didn't think of Molley Hatchet in my original post I agree whole heartedly with everything travlinman has to say. Southern Rock rocks!

Rickey Medlocke, currently with Skynyrd, has the best range and the most pure Southern Rock voice. Listen to some of his stuff on an old Blackfoot album (CD), he'll blow you away. Gregg Allman has the best "bluesy" voice. If I could sing like any one of those guys I wouldn't be here today. I'd either be dead or out on the road.

I'm in heaven right now...channel surfing I found a Springsteen concert on PBS.

He always has so much fun on stage.....

I'm afraid I missed most of it...but "Tenth avenue Freeze out" -

BRUUUUUUUCE - might be the concert from Rochester last year, because it's definately after Little Steven was on Sopranos. He's introducing the band now....Clarence Clemens...Max...

Laura, according to the directory we were supposed to get that concert last night. I was all ready - popcorn popped, beverage ready - only to be treated to an extended infomercial for a cd of old R&B stuff. Nothing against the Tams, etc., but it was not what I was looking for, and it seemed the "breaks" took up more time than the music did. Maybe we'll get Bruce yet.

The girls in Fleetwood Mack are pretty cool. And oh, the girl backup singers in Lynard Skynard are really cool.
