Recently certified QS9000 TE company tells me that they don't calibrate their employees hand tools. They get around this by stating in their procedure that only company owned tooling is used as final measuring devise. Employee tooling measurements are reference only. Wondering if it's worth it. It depends upon your point of view and costs. I see no problem with this approach - I see this quite often. Ideally, in my opinion, all M&TE should be calibrated but often cost and reality factors come into play. IP: Logged |
