Thanks, Don. Actually, I was just looking for more info about this spc method, who invented it, how he was able to come up with such a method. Although it is pretty basic, I find it rather very useful. I am looking for additional files on this method because it is what we use here and I think if I teach this method to operators, they can appreciate the simplicity and the practicality of this method. If you're just looking for "basics".. Walter A Shewhart back in the late 20's developed much of the "modern era" use of Spc techniques..Bell Lab's and Demming - helped perfect its use. Brief historical background can be found at www.asq.org/about/history/shewhart.html IP: Logged |
