i remember it from the original CQA exam...i took the first sitting, and that was the first i ever heard of it....then i later found it in a book..still looking....i obviously wasn't impressed..LOL

Nick,
According to "worth consulting", it's a visit where they talk to management and look at your system before deciding what you need in terms of their consulting service and the time and fee for doing it. They charge $600 plus for it. They do ISO 9000 and 14000.
I looked up "discovery audit" on Altavista.
