Has anyone got or heard or tried the Maus Quality Assurance "Made Easy" computer package (Available in Australia, unsure if available elsewhere). It says it is suitable for ISO9000 certification and accreditation. We are looking at 9001:2000 certification. If you have used this product, is it appropriate for a small business and could you tell me what you think of it. Regards Amanda IP: Logged |

Amanda, Saturday is preeeeeety slow, I'm sure there will be some additional responses by Monday or Tuesday. I am interested in knowing the capabilities of the software because most software companies are slow on upgrades, considering that the new version of ISO just came out. Benchmarking (on my part) rears its ugly head ASD... [This message has been edited by Al Dyer (edited 03 February 2001).] IP: Logged |

Amanda, AFAIK the MAUS software has not been updated to reflect the ISO9K:2K format. Personally I have an aversion to these canned systems that promise easy compliance. They never really fit your business and want you to change things to suit them. The best idea I feel is to document all the things you do now and see where they fit in ISO9K, then fill in the gaps. Chances are you do already do most of the requirements anyway in some form or another. Develop your system so that it makes sence to your business and your people, then make cross references for the External Auditors. As far as software goes I can give you a link to www.4tq.com which is an Australian (South Aus) company who have just updated their product to accept multiple mangement system layouts (Safety, Quality, Risk etc) you do have to set up the alignment yourself though. They have an ISO9000 kit as well which is more aligned to a systems approach but (I think) it is still based on the 94 version. IP: Logged |
