While I know there are hospitals and other medical organizations 'going' for ISO9001, I really haven't seen a listing of quality issues. When I think of hospitals, I think of issues such as: Correct Medicine administered You say Patient Services - Give us some details of what Patient Services does and mebbe I (and maybe some others [I hope...]) will give it a shot. I believe he is saying "Patent", not "Patient" services. I am not sure if there is a federal gov't website for this. In this forum, there have been several threads for service organization applications of ISO9000. Also, you may want to check the old forum for threads about this. IP: Logged |

Over the last year I have done 50+ online searches for businesses and patent professionals, including patentability, validity, infringement and exploratory (state of the art) searches. I have noticed that services are offered and databases used provide no consistency about what such a search should achieve. Should I: 1. Start with rough text of an invention disclosure? 2. Search the world patent registries? 3. Find closest prior art? Obviously different clients have different needs and budgets and "better" is not always better. If a search is to be conducted, how does one decide how much effort(time, money, expertise, for example) to devote to it? How risk is related to penalty (either IP: Logged |
