I would like to know if anyone out there has had experience with the QSI system. What's good, what's bad. How long does it take after initial training from QSI to "get your house in order"? Do you get good support from QSI?
Thanks

??

What is 'the QSI system'? What is it supposed to do?

Sorry Marc
QSI = Quality Sytems International. "Developers of Lotus Notes, Domino software for document management, process improvement, quality and environmental records, and compliance with ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and QS9000 business standards"

Our company has been using the QSI/Lotus Notes product for several years now. My comment is this: If you can use the product without modification or customization, then it will work well and inexpensively. If you find the need to customize, you will be working on the design side of Lotus Notes continuously.
I have seen other LN based products like QSI and it is my belief that most companies will have to customize the product to get the functionality that they need. Therefore you had better figure on having a Lotus Notes Designer on staff to support the product.
Final note - in spite of our costly labor to support this product, it has served our quality system well with the database modules for Documentation Control and Release, Management Review, and Internal Assessments. We don't use most of the other databases.
