Clause No : ISO 9001- 4.3
Section : Contract Review
We had faced the problem of an auditor who gave non-conformance on this clause , mentioning statement of work is not reviewed given by the customer.
Our exisiting process is whenever the contract is been signed with the customer , there was lot of s.o.w of given by the customer to the project team , auditor pointed out that there was review conducted for the s.o.w and since this was umberalla contract where four or five s/w projects under one contract , it is very difficult to review the each of s.o.w .Any suggestion in process implementation in addressing this problem.

I'm not sure I understand.

You review and sign the contract prior to getting a sow? The sow is based upon the original contract, correct?

Need more details. Typically what I see is where a review is required is where it makes busioness sense. If management reviewed, accepted and signed a contract any follow ons, such as a sow not submitted with the original request for quote or contract offer would be subject to an 'appropriate' review. This is to say if that sow is a sub-set of the original contract and has to do with engineering only, that's where the review would 'make sense'. Part of the question is whether there are differences in the original agreed to contract and the sow.
