Please, give me the recommendations concerning the development of the procedure of documents storage in electronic media (in computer). How should be handled the documents which exist in electronic form (offers, quotes, contracts ect.) ? Please share your experience.

Your procedure should just say how you control the files. Many companies simply use restricted / protected directories. Their master lists are nothing more than a printout of appropruiate directories.

Then again, some companies use a database system where each has a 'record'.
