WE ARE SUBMITTING A LEVEL 5 PPAP AND WE ARE REQUIRED TO DO A GAUGE R&R.OUR GAUGES ARE GO/NOGO GAUGES(OPERATORS WILL BE USING THESE). IS A "SHORT METHOD" ATTRIBUTE GAUGE STUDY ENOUGH?WHAT ABOUT OUR MICROMETERS USED FOR OUR CPK STUDY?THESE WERE CALIBRATED FROM OUR SOURCE BUT I AM NOT SURE ABOUT ANY R&R STUDY. BY THE WAY,WE ARE A 4TH TIER SUPPLIER AND ARE GETTING HEAT FROM THE 3RD TIER SUPPLIER ABOUT OUR PPAP FORMS.THEY WANT US TO PAY THEIR INTERNAL AUDITOR TO "OVERLOOK"OUR FORMS.MAKE SENSE?HELP. Go for the long form Gage R&R studies on both attribute and variable gaging. It is a good habit to get into. As for your customer, I would look into dealing with an honest customer. If they would do this to others what might they do to you? Integrity always wins! Good Luck IP: Logged |
