Can someone steer me in the right direction on looking for companies who sell 100% sort testing equipment for overall length, flatness, and parallel? The equipment would need to be capable to catch nonconforming product as close as .0001. Also, can someone tell me different ways to 100% sort without automated equipment? Thanks ahead! IP: Logged |

quote: Dawn, Sounds as if you might need to look into some of the companies that setup in-process laser systems. If you are interested in this avenue e-mail me I can set you up with some information. As for the 100% sort, I'm afraid to ask the question, but why? What are the problems with the prevention and control systems? I know we all have them, but wouldn't 100% inspection take most of the margin out of the product? Now to my soapbox: Most areas in which I have worked have specialized houses for sorting and inspecting that are supervised by specialists with the workforces made up of disabled persons. These people may be mentally retarded or physically challanged. Depending on what type of work is required you might want to look at these types of organizations. While being very cost effective, I believe the larger benefit is in helping the individuals involved and being a good corporate citizen. ASD... IP: Logged |
