Subject: S.I.C. Codes Date: Thu, 03 Jun 1999 08:59:28 -0400 From: Julie DeGuire To: Marc Good morning Marc, Let me introduce myself. My name is Julie DeGuire and I am the Quality Management Representative at Regal International Tool & Mould in Windsor, ONT. Canada I have an inquiry that needs clarification. One of our customers contacted me asking for our S.I.C. code. I did speak to our Registrar and received that code. He also gave me our "NACE Code". Do you have any information on these codes so I can better understand the codes and to gain the knowledge so I can be more prepared when this request surfaces again. Thank You IP: Logged |

SIC is Standard Industry Code. It is being replaced by NAICS. See: http://www.census.gov/pub/epcd/www/naics.html NACE is the National Association of Corrosion Engineers See: http://www.nace.org/ and http://www.powerengbooks.com/booklist.html#1 These are just classification 'schemes' for industry.
