Hi Folks! QS9000 Third edition 4.15.6.2 requires production scheduling to be order driven. Is there anyone who has done it practically? Our products require a lead time of 4 to 5 weeks for processing but customer requires these part numbers within a week hence we are forced to keep inventory for those part numbers that are fast moving. If your system is based on a "pull signal" and you manufacture to that signal (including maintaining inventory or safety stock), then I believe you are meeting the intent of the QS requirement. IP: Logged |
