Manuals are great, however, I have found that by using FLOWCHARTS creating in Visio, everyone loves them and it meets the need for planning in IOS9001:2k. They are easily pasted into word documents, so anyone can view them. Our document control procedure was no less that nine pages long of words. Toss that killer procedure at an engineer and look out! ...not to mention the noncompliance to the procedure! The flowcharts for doc ctrl got it down to four pages, and was easier to follow. Wherever you see the word "Planning" in ISO9001:2k, replace it mentally with "Flowcharts". Try it, you will sleep better! Keep being Inventive. Trakman. IP: Logged |
