I had these items up before, I just re-used them after re-varnishing the walls. I even took the tank off the toilet so I could treat that area too.
Some staining remains. I couldn't make it look like nothing had happened, but it's a ton better.

The living room becomes a staging area. This is one reason why I wait for such a project until I'm the only one home for a matter of days.
