hello everyone, I am new to the forum.

I have a problem related to a customer who asks me to fill in the CQI specific for our activity.

We cold forge (cold forming/stamping) steel parts for the automotive industry.

In AIAG the only CQI I have noticed is 23 for moulding.
Reading it well, however, it talks about plastics.

Is this correct in your opinion?
Can you help me understand which is the correct cqi for cold moulding or is it not?

thanks in advance

As far as I know there isn’t a cqi for cold forming/stamping? They may be looking at plating or welding if any of your parts are applicable. You may want to ask them for the cqi number they want.

I think if cold forming or stamping you would be heat treating. This would be CQI-9 then. There is not one for col forming from what I am aware of.
