Check the bookstore at www.iccsafe.org which is operated by the International Code Council (ICC), who writes the building codes for the country. And for construction you certainly must know the Codes!

All,

Here is the eBook on interpreting ISO 9001 for design and construction project teams prepared by members of the ASQ's Design and Construction Division and published by Quality Press:

https://asq.org/quality-press/display-item/index.html?item=E1364

If you have no ASQ account then search for this term: "ISO 9001:2008 Interpretive Guide for the Design and Construction Project Team"

It includes the full text of ISO 9001:2008 and provides clause-by-clause interpretations for the client, designer and contractor. It also includes a methodology for developing your process-based management system no matter the type of organization.

Gathering a set of documents does not a management system make. Better to understand and document the management system that actually runs the organization. That way you avoid creating a layer of documents that competes with the real system for the attention of managers, employees and subcontractors.

As Editor, I am now seeking volunteers, from the industry, with experience of developing, using and improving process-based management systems to work on the third edition of this interpretive guide.

PM me with your credentials if you are interested.

Many thanks,

John
