Quality plan vs Monitoring and measurement of process

Hi Every one,

Do Quality plan and SOP for Monitoring and measurement of process contents remains the same or any other changes is there?
Also what SOP for Monitoring and measurement of product includes?

Thanks in advance

No, the quality plan is not the same as monitoring and measurement, they really are the two ends of the system. The Quality Plan says what you are going to do and how you will do it. Monitoring and Measurement are ensuring you actually do what you said in the plan.

I would suggest the SOP should include

What you are going to measure, along with the "operational definition" of how the measurement is defined and gathered
Who is the management owner of the measurement(s)?
Periodicity of the measurements (daily? weekly? monthly?)
What will the analysis technique be (such as SPC)?
What are the goals / aim related to the measurement (can be directional rather than targets) and where did they come from?
Who will the results to presented to and when for decision making?
What will follow up be on decisions made and their implementation?
