Remote IATF 16949 audit preparation

Dang
We just set up a lap top with a battery backup, head set for our company host, external microphone for the company participants, a camera and wi-fi receiver - all of this was on a cart. We could have used an external speaker but were able to function without it.

So, during this IATF recertification audit there was a finding that our inspection plan exceeded our "customer approved" control plan and is considered a finding.

I am not in agreement with this and will take the hits when we deserve them. Essentially, this would mean that at any time a quality manager increases an AQL for any period of time, to ensure conformance or for further protection against a possible escape, that the control plan must be changed and submitted to the customer for approval. If you perform more than the customers’ expectations, is this a penalty under IATF Rules?

I would appreciate any feedback and or opinions the community may have on this subject.

Thanks!
