The more certification becomes commoditised the less value it has and hence the less appeal it has.
Amen to that. And exactly because of that downward spiral, less and less talent can be attracted by the certifiers and registrants seeking the cheapest solution end up being "serviced" by less-than-competent "professionals. In the end you get what you pay for.

Notwithstanding all of that, many organizations love to gather the "badges" in their façade attempt to demonstrate being a serious, reputable, customer centric, environmentally-responsible, workforce-driven etc....organization....

I have no idea if ISO is financially supporting the work of the ISO 9001 Brand Integrity group, but, how much longer until they pull the plug on this? ZERO publicly available output from this after SEVERAL YEARS. ZERO. There is no accountability, obviously. And, then, they get all out of shape when people question the work (or lack thereof) and decisions made by the almighty committee.
