And exactly because of that downward spiral, less and less talent can be attracted by the certifiers and registrants seeking the cheapest solution end up being "serviced" by less-than-competent "professionals. In the end you get what you pay for.The more certification becomes commoditised the less value it has and hence the less appeal it has.
