Travel - Route Finder Map HD app

Does any body know about the route finder app which can display the shortest possible route or distance graphically (like streets, highways, motorways, cities, provinces, popular areas, towns, villages) between two specified points on the map from anywhere to anywhere in the world where there is a proper built-up transportation path is available.

Any suggestions would be helpful in advance!

Are you looking for an application that incudes air-travel as a transportation method or is this by land-only? Google Maps does an excellent job provided that ground transportation is the only method necessary.
