I realize that I cannot truly compare your reality to a film, but after watching the (2006) movie "Home of the Brave" I feel that I have a better understanding of what it must be like for soldiers like your son to return home.
I realize it was a fictional movie and probably scoffed at by real military people - but - for someone like me, that's the closest I'm going to get to experiencing how hard it is to readjust to civilization after a tour.
Best of luck to your entire family.
You make a good point, here. I don't think Randy has any idea how much respect I have for him and his son (and his entire family, for that matter). But there is truly no way we know what they're going through; we can only imagine.
I posted a brief thank you earlier, as I really did not know what to say. Randy.. you do have a family of friends here that care about each other. Heck, we spend a lot of time together, and we can't help but develop some affinity for each other.
Please just let your family know that you remain in many peoples hearts/minds. We may not have met, but we are connected.
If your family ever come through Dallas Fort Worth area, let me know.
