Will Basic UDI-DI be related to product recalls?

Hi everyone.

In a recent time our notified body informed us about why we should assign the BUDI's in detail. So he said if we will ever withdraw our products from the market we need to execute this process according to BUDI.
Let's say if I assign 20 different product to one BUDI (but same product range) when we want to recall one of them we are going to have to recall all the products covered by the same BUDI.
I have been searching for this information but I couldn't find any prove to support this idea.
Did you guys heard of this thing? I mean when we want to recall one product are we going to have to recall all the products covered by the same BUDI?

No. You will have to recall according to UDI-DI (assigned to single item).

I've not checked the guidance, but surely it should be possible to recall based on the full UDI - i.e. if you are recalling a batch or some batches of a product - not just by the UDI-DI.
