AS 9100 C and D Purchasing requirements difference

What are the differences in the AS 9100 C and AS 9100 D purchasing requirements.

Do I need to make changes to my current AS 9100 C Purchasing Procedure, to meet Purchasing requirements under AS 9100 D? is it required? necessary?

The real world differences for purchasing between C and D are minimal, but I would still compare your procedure to 8.4 and subsections in the D standard. The different language may make you realize the current procedure could be improved or has a nonconformance prior auditors missed.

I have seen multiple companies with weak processes for 8.4.1.1 e, 8.4.3 a (how often does purchasing fail to send a supplier all necessary information?), and 8.4.3 k.
