Gage R&R for Tension Meter

What is the best method to do a Gage R&R for a Tension meter,

We use to measure yarn tension in our process... how can I create "samples" for operators, I don't think I can do that...
Thanks :thanks:

Can you use tension springs with a low spring rate? This would allow you to calculate a %Tolerance to gain enough confidence in the test that would justify performing a capability study on the yarn then using that standard deviation to calculate % Process Variation.

I'm sorry Miner... But I'm not really familiar with the use of the equipment and measurement... I don't understand ... I'm trying to help to lab technician ... what do you mean with tension springs?...

See Post #2 in this thread. It discusses how to perform an R&R study on tensile testers without using the product itself. The photo below is what I meant by the springs. Use small springs with the same force as the yarn.

You meant a tension meter (the yarn travels between 3 rollers of the tension meter, yarn tension deflects center roller which is connected to a loadcell) - as opposed to a tensile tester? Maybe invest in a set of calibration weights, with a weight hanger preferably. Get a length of yarn, fix one end, fit tension meter, apply weight, compare known tension to readout.
