Responsibility, Authority & Accountability of Customer Representative - TS 16949

Hi all,

Can anyone help me in finding the responsibility, authority & accountability of customer representative with respect to TS16949. Ours is a machining company (Job order). We are IMS (ISO 9001, 14001 & OHSAS 18001) certified.

If you are also pursuing ISO TS certification , you shall meet the requirements of the clause 5.5.2.1 of the mentioned standard.
It is pertinent to ISO TS where the requirement states you shall have one figure ( or more than one) that acts as " the voice of the customer" in your organization.
Automotive standard is more stringent in these terms.
It is up to you hot to proceed. Consider that this is a very technical figure, so, quite different form the mgmt representative of ISO 9001. However, I suggest to work for process in this case , looking at the comptences and skills of your personnel.

Our Marketing manager acts as CR. I have mentioned in his resp as "Communicate customer specific requirements to relevant dept, Identify special characteristics & its importance, be a part of APQP, PPAP CFT team, Fixing severity in PFMEA". I suppose i am on right path.

I believe so.
You can check during your internal audit.
Consider that he should also responsible for training and formation of customer requirements, check this in the standard.
