MIL-A-8625 Aluminum Anodizing... Is there another comparable standard?

Was asked to look into this and see if there another standard that is comperable. I'm seeing that this one was updated in 2003 so I assume it's currently in effect.

A few parts we have had to have anodized have referenced ASTM B-580 "Standard Specification for Anodic Oxide Coatings on Aluminum" on the part drawings (I notice this isn't on the list referenced by Jim). It was last updated in 2004.

MIL-A-8625 REV. F1 is what we use. An anodizing house could steer you to any other applicable standards.

turns out the boss just bought ASTM B580 and dropped it on my desk to put it into the doc control system.
