Customer/Supplier Pricing Agreement - Would this be a Register and Controlled?

Hi Guys;

We have a pricing agreement with a customer, that details their part number, our corresponding part number, and the price. It is constantly being updated (ie, new parts are added), and we need to refer to it to ensure that we are offering the correct material to them (our corresponding part number).

Would you control this? Is this an example of a Register?

TIA,

Re: Customer/Supplier Pricing Agreement - would this be a Register?

From the business aspect, agreements and contracts are a special class of documents by themselves because the mechanism to change/vary/ammend etc are usually provided or referenced therein. In this sense, they are controlled. Most people would have a filling list/register to indicate where they are stored and with some important data such as expiry dates etc. These documents are usually confidential in nature and only authorized persons can have access to them.

In your case, mechanisms should be found therein for a way to agree on prices of new parts and allowable price adjustments, etc. A register is something like a log book, the purpose of which is to record or register some pertinent information or details - they are completely different.
